Chinese newspapers report a tragic incident in which a student in Shanghai was killed whilst using his laptop.

The 20 year old man was using his laptop on an extremely hot day and was concerned about the computer overheating. Rather than turn on the air conditioning to cool the whole room, he removed the outer casing of the laptop to allow more air to get to it.

Unfortunately he was not wearing trousers and his legs became very sweaty. Somehow, it is thought, his sweaty legs came into contact with the computer wiring causing him to receive an electic shock.

Initial investigations found him to have been electrocuted.
