P C world/Three Free Laptop Offer

P C World and Three.co.uk are the latest to offer a free laptop in conjunction with taking up a Broadband contract.

Customers need to take out an 18 month 3GB Mobile Broadband contract with Three at P C world at a monthly fee of £35 in return for which they receive a free Advent 9912 laptop worth £350.

The Advent 9912 is Wireless enabled and has Intel Celeron M processor C530 (1.73 GHz), Windows Vista (R) Home Premium, 80 GB hard drive, 1 GB memory and 12 inch widescreen display. Customers can pay extra for a laptop with a higher specification if they wish.

The deal includes 200 free texts per month.

Taking the Mobile Broadband option could allow customers currently using their landline to dispense with it save the fee (£11 per month with BT).

P C World states that it is possible to access the internet using Three's mobile network without being in a Wi-fi hotspot simply by using a USB modem with the laptop.

It is possible to get the Three Mobile Broadband for just £15 per month without the free laptop albeit on a longer contract - 24 months.

Users considering transferring to Mobile Broadband need to check their local 3G coverage first.
