Bag manufacturers Brenthaven have taken something like 17 per cent off the weight of the average laptop computer bag with their recently launched Metrolite range. The slim, lightweight Metrolite can take laptops from 12 inches to 15 inches and also has a separate front pocket to take an ipod, PDA or mobile phone.

The bag also incorporates a "CORE" protection system protecting the laptop's screen from impact damage. The bag has improved handles and the carrying strap has extra padding to protect the shoulder.
