Lapworks Introduce New "Futura" Laptop Desk

Lapworks Inc produce a range of ergonomic laptop desks and the latest addition is the "Laptop Desk Futura". Initially coming in gun-metal grey, the Futura will shortly be available in optional fashion colours.

Like other products in the range, the Futura is designed to provide a comfortable and ergonomically sound workspace on the lap but also converts easily into a desktop stand. It has five ergonmically comfortable typing angles and raises the screen 3-3/4 inches closer to eye level.

The laptop desk weighs slightly over 16 ounces and folds in half to approximately 11 inches square by half an inch thick so it's easy to transport.

The Futura also incorporates improvements in cooling by means of replacing previously closed channels with open ventilation slots so that cool air can enter from underneath. The slots have also been elongated by 2 inches to facilitate easier escape of hot air from under wide-screen notebooks. Cool air is allowed to circulate under the notebook by means of rubber pads which lift and separate it from the Futura creating a ventilation gap.

The initial product in grey retails at $29.95 but the fashion colour versions may be more expensive when they arrive on the market.
