Buy A Laptop And Plant A Tree

Toshiba UK are launching a "Carbon Neutral" scheme which will allow customers to help the environment when they buy a Laptop Computer. Customers will have the option to pay £1.18 which will be used to offset carbon emissions involved in computer manufacture and use. In fact you don't even need to buy a Laptop to join the scheme as long as you make the £1.18 donation.

Toshiba will invest the donations in a dedicated Toshiba Wood at Sand Martin Wood in Cumbria. The scheme involves planting a mix of native UK, trees over the next two years including oak, ash, beech and willow.

Toshiba aren't the first company to make such a move - Dell introduced a similar scheme earlier this year.
